Two people were rushed to the hospital after their car apparently lost control and overturned in the Bronx River in Scarsdale.

SCARSDALE - Two people were rushed to the hospital after their car apparently lost control and overturned in the Bronx River in Scarsdale.

It happened at around 8 a.m. near Harney Road. The northbound Bronx River Parkway was shut down after the accident.

News 12 is told that a man and woman were inside the vehicle. Police say the woman was in cardiac arrest when she was taken to Lawrence Hospital, and is being transferred to Westchester Medical Center.

The man suffered hypothermia and was also taken to Westchester Medical Center.

Their identities have not been released.
