A Port Jervis teen, who authorities say had several run-ins with the law, will spend five years in prison for robbery and menacing an officer.
Joel Howell pleaded guilty to pointing a BB gun that looked like a firearm at an officer in October last year.
While awaiting sentencing, authorities say the 18-year-old did the same thing to a man on the street and tried to rob him last November.
Howell will also serve five years probation.
